    Quantum Bender 2.0 STRENGTH?

QB2 is easier to bend coins with than Superman is. Unless you're abnormally weak you should have no problem at all with pennies and dimes. If you're having trouble with nickels and quarters just work your way up to them by bending pennies and dimes.

    LIVE MAGIC - Fork Bending!

Ditto everything Toby said on the pros and cons. Read what he said again and imagine it coming out of my face. :)

    Quantum Bender 2.0 STRENGTH?

No, an average person can do the bend just fine. The QB2 is one of the best investments I ever made in magic. This has been my reputation maker and go-to-effect for a few years now.

Sebastian, I did not intend to misrepresent what you said at all. I don't think I did, but if what I wrote came across differently than I intended I apologize for not being clear with my words. What I meant was that I did not like the Legacy thread as is. After I said that in my first post in...

Just because it ain't magic, doesn't mean its not magical.

I agree. To me the things in this video are just as magical as anything a magician could do.

    My Repertoire

We're in agreement then. I'm not sure if I'm at fault for "should have known better," though, so much as your statement just lacked clarity. I agree though--personality is key to conveying an effect without patter.

    My Repertoire

I strongly disagree. If magic didn't have the ability to speak for itself we wouldn't have silent or international acts. Here's a successful and popular example of how magic can speak for itself. Here's another. And another.

I contacted the makers abut the situation of Legacy thread being advertised as already stripped but not being so. What they said is that Legacy thread is not intended to be stripped down further. Without stripping it down, I don't think Legacy is a very good thread at all. It does not have a...

    Tonight I Failed Magic

"A conjuror is nothing if he only amuses and fails to inspire wonder." -Thomas Frost, The Lives of the Conjurors "Our task is amazement, not amusement. Always amazement first." -Rene' Levand Toby is on the right path.

But it's advertised as "no stripping needed." As such that's how it should come--as advertised. This is amazing thread though. I'm impressed.

Weird. It's advertised on the Cafe' as "over 300ft of pre-stripped (no stripping needed) IET." That's repeated several times in the thread on the Cafe'. This is not the case. I just got it out and stripped it. Didn't know it could be stripped because of the advertising. Stripped, though, this...

I don't want to hijack your thread and take it of course with a longwinded explanation, as this isn't the place for it, and doing so would be rude. Perhaps I'll start a separate thread on what I'm getting at some time. You wrote an excellent review and it seems like you have come up with a cool...

    Loops

I'm not sure how qualified your comment is considering in the thread on the Magic Cafe' you linked to you said "I need to get into some loop work" and "I've never really done any thread work." Loops have been a staple in my magic for several years, and out of all the thread I've tried (Legacy...

    Tonight I Failed Magic

I had a similar revelation with my magic some years ago. It came after I put down Absolute Magic by Derren Brown after reading it when it was first released. After I read that book the first time my entire repertoire was turned inside out and upside down. It was both disheartening and very...

    Pointless by Gregory Wilson

That's what you're doing, but the question is why are you doing it? What's in it for the spectator? I'm not trying to say the effect doesn't or can't serve a purpose in your repertoire. It sounds like you have a nice routine worked out. I'm just trying to figure out what purpose do you see the...
