    Showmanship and Presentation

Magic and Showmanship by Henning Nelms. A great "starting out book". But not all presentation and showmanship can be learned from books, a lot of it comes from pure, raw experience. How can you learn how to be yourself from a book? Simply get out there, perform a lot and it will start coming to...

    Going to Vegas Tomorrow...

A lot of the hotels have some nice magic shops, I believe the New York, New York hotel has one. Check out the Luxor, you might just see Mr. Angel lurking around. Mitchell

    Question for the Staff.

No question is stupid. Here's my view on it. These magicians who started Theory 11 put their sweat, blood, and tears into the site. They are the founders of Theory 11, it's their "baby". They put so much hard work into it that maybe the just don't want to bring anyone into it yet. Also...

What Is Wrong With Magic as an Art Today...

As magicians and performers we should be able to create awe with whatever we do, whether it be cards, coins, even the most minimalistic things should create wonder and amazement because that's what we do as magicians. Mitchell

    I'm depressed..

Sometimes (pardon the language) when the s*** hits the fan you just need some alone time. I know when I was diagnosed with Diabetes a few months back, although people kept on talking to me and reassuring me, what I really needed was some time alone to reflect. The calmness really helped me get...

help on what to order please

Here's the thing, we can't really get a good grasp on what type of magic you're interested in and therefore can't truly recommend something that will be beneficial to your magic. Mitchell

    Best Impromtu Coin Vanish?

A nice false transfer... keep it simple, you'll get better reactions with that than you will with a shell or anything else if you know how to use it. Also, try working it into a routine, it become much more powerful and magical when something surrounds the vanish. Mitchell

What Is Wrong With Magic as an Art Today...

I think this question is sort of general but has some discussion potential. I think the true foundations of magic have been totally forgotten and people are too into purchasing the latest and greatest tricks and effects rather than simply sticking with the stuff they have. No one is really...

Impervious by Jeremy Hanrahan and Christopher Williams

This was my first coin in bottle purchase because I was always skeptical of all of the others as they all received mixed reviews. I finally decided to pick one up and I'm glad it was Impervious. I don't exactly remember the names of the versions but I will update it once I watch the DVD...

    Who Are You?

Successful magicians all have one thing in common- they all have a distinctive character, or stage personality. Houdini made his reputation first as the King of Kards, then as the Handcuff King and the Man No Jail Can Hold. So strongly did Houdini make his mark that seventy years after his...

    The Magician's Insurance Policy

Effect: A spectator select a card and either places it back inside the deck, or inside their pocket. The magician then reports some failures and cannot name the card, he then proceeds to pull out a pamphlet which is titled "Magician's Insurance Policy". He turns it over and reads what it says...
