I'm sorry but i don't think its worth it because you forgot the remaining 3/4 of the people who are probably doing the tricks from time to time whether its a card trick, coin trick or whatever poorly ... Learning a trick like Blind by D+M is very appealing to non-magicians, and if they bought blind before getting dissapointed by the deceptive method, you can surely expect them to buy something like lets say the "Be Kind Change" and probably won't be able to do it because they did not take the time to learn the basics and progress little by little from there, they just want to learn something right here, right now. Even after they learn a couple of effects, they are probably gonna perform it for friends or famillies AND if they are not into magic, i guarantee they are gonna REVEAL it, trying to be the cool one. That guy who will respond to the advertisment will be like any other guyz that all of you are very familiar with, its the one that says "How did u do that" after every trick, do you think they wanna be a magician ... Of Course not, they are just curious about the method. No one will look at an advertisment and say, "Oh i wanna be a magician". Try to remember what got U into magic, it probably took a lot more than that ....
When it comes to the next DB, i don't think its a good idea to throw a 100 bait into the water (the secrets), hoping to catch one big fish (D. Blaine), its just stupid.
Well it's either this or I buy a radio advertisment.

There is currently 16,383 Members, and I can gurantee that less than 1% actually sign on everday, let alone ever again.
So, tell me, DarkWitness, how would bringing in 1 or 10 new magicians on these forums change anything?

Why are you willing to invest your own money that is going to gain you absolutely nothing personally? Are you some how hoping that by sucking up to T11 like this they'll offer you a gig, or artist job or something? I can't figure out what you stand to gain by this. Radio add space is expensive so long as it's not on some AM station that no one listens to that only broadcasts locally at 3 in the morning.
Money is not a problem.

Then just produce your own show where you tell people how tricks are done and that everything they see a magician do can be bought - because that's the only thing you are going to manage to accomplish.
If you want a larger community of magicians, sign up on the genii forum or magic cafe. If money truly is not an issue, fly to sam, ibm, taom, magic in the rickies, magic live and fism.
My best advice is to just let DarkWitness do what he wants. If he wants to attract attention to t11, than by all means just let him do it... who are we to stop him (?) even if he gains nothing out of it.
We do everything we can to push the envelope in this industry and improve, advance, and challenge the status quo. Our intent is pure and our passion is hard to beat. But everything we do means absolutely nothing without the support and activity of our members - so support means everything to us.
For those that want to help us, the best way is to do one simple thing: perform. And perform well. And perform often. Blow people's minds. Spread passion for magic. Spread respect for magic. Learn as much as you can. Study the art that you love. Talk to other magicians. Share ideas, talk about tricks. Make friends. Encourage other magicians. Stay positive. And when and only when you find someone that is serious about learning magic - not just secrets - send them our way.
