Favorite Ace Assemblies

Do I ever!

My favourite assembly style routine has three phases - two assemblies and a reverse assembly. Phase 1 is essentially David Regal's "Streamlined Assembly". Phases 2 and 3 are based on a trick in Harry Loryane's "Classic Collection" called Backfire Assembly (or something like that). I've reworked several aspects to make everything flow.

Gaffless and very, very magical. I pull this routine out for an appreciative and attentive audience and it's a real showstopper!

First assembly style trick I fell in love with is John G's "Jazz Fusion" - not a true assembly, but once again a real killer.

A lot of people underestimate assemblies, thinking that their old fashioned and not "snappy" enough (especially the impromptu versions). I was really surprised at the level of appreciation my audiences showed for assemblies when I first started doing them - I guess there's a good reason for it being a classic plot!
