how do you explain different currency.

I have just bought a bill fold trick but in order to complete this trick I have to use a US Dollar bill as the currency in the UK has changed from paper notes to plastic which do not hold their fold.

we changed our £5.00 this year and I believe they are going to change the £10.00 soon so it will not be long before the £20.00 note will be changing.

How do I explain why I have a One dollar bill in my pocket.

I'd keep hold of any paper notes before they change and just work it into the performance. "They had to change to plastic because this kept happening" *boom* go into your routine. That's my first thought.

If you're ok with lying, you can reach into your pocket for money and pull out the USD, act surprised and say "Oh. I just came back from a trip to America. Must've left these in my pocket. Well, anyways..."


Also, depending on the gimmick, you may be able to make your own gimmicks with your own currency.
