My New Video

Okay, so here's the background on this video. I got a text msg that T11 Saturday Night Contest tonight (ending at 11pm) wanted a video about card magic that was original, unique, and creative.

So after getting off work and rushing home, I kit bashed together the materials to perform this effect. It's called Hemorage. Credits go to Cedric Taylor for the origin of the idea. I've modified the handeling a bit.

So I rush home, went through set up, wardrobe, and makeup to film and post it before I realize that the contest ended at 11pm eastern time! Well crap. I was late before I even got off work.

Essentially, I failed. However instead of letting my video go to the trash bin, as I did have to go through a lot of set up, I wanted to post it here, for general opinions.

Before you're too harsh- please remember that this was a rush job to beat a deadline. So lighting, blah, back ground, blah, etc I'm already well aware of.

Kindly,
William Draven.

Damn Will, that was freaking awesome. Although I couldn't quite make out the text on the card, I am very familiar with tarot cards and I knew I was looking at DEATH. My favorite part is when you're nose started bleeding and there's about 10 seconds where I just wanted to ask you if you were ok. After that little bit of tension you look up at the camera and say, "Well that's not good..." LOL Classic!

Sincerely,
David

Nice, very nice. Though one thing I noticed is that I'm not sure if riffle shuffling the cards really fits in with the theme of the trick. Because the first thing people think of with riffle shuffling is casinos, and it makes the tarot cards seem less 'special' and more like a normal deck of crads, if that makes sense.
