Hey Guys,
For those of you who own the trick sharpie, I wanted to know some examples of how you go about using this effect. Everyone's style of magic is different and I would love to hear various stories. I saw not too many threads have been started based on this effect, or haven't been created in some time so I thought I'd resurface this one. I recently just ordered one and have been thinking how I could go about this one.
Here's 1 technique I thought of so far:
• Force the six of clubs in which ever way your comfortable with
• Have that spectator sign the card using the sharpie
• Do a simple ACR routine, making that signed card the first card
• Use the erdanse change to "wipe" the card clean showing nothing but a blank card
• Then explain to the spectator that before you even started this effect you had a prediction that they would choose this card
• As your talking, wave the sharpie then wipe the sharpies text as well making the spectator believe you changed the logo
For those of you who are afraid of purchasing the effect because it will dry up over time, this will not stop you from performing with it. If drying up is the case you can always use a simple switch (i.e. leaving the sharpie in your pocket rather then on the table)
Looking forward to hearing other techniques
Hoped you liked my idea
Thanks
-Sean
