I have quite a few double backed cards laying around and I have no use for them, does anybody know of any tricks that use a double backed card??

Tricks with a double backer?

Hey,
I'm sure there are tons of threads on this already. So firstly, I recommend using the search feature of the forums. But I'll go ahead and answer your question anyways.
Double Backers as a utility device- Double backers can be used to hide the back of another card. Double lifts are invisible when a double backer is involved because the card can be removed from the deck before turning it back over. They can be utilized in countless ways in this manner.
Autograph by Justin Miller- this is an effect that uses a double backer to its full potential. It's a remix of the anniversary waltz plot in card magic. But instead, the cards fuze together face-to-face, with the signatures on the outside. JM created this routine with the worker in mind. It's a closeup/street magic type handling, where the presentation goes from being an impossible stunt, to a barrage of amazing effects, and finally ending with the climax of the cards fuzing together. There has been controversy over this effect, but I think it's worth a look if you have some DBs hanging around.
Carbon Paper- This is my all time favorite effect. Although there are several handlings out there for the effect, I love the gaffed method involving a double backer. Definitely worth a look, this effect causes spectators to go absolutely crazy.
Satisfaction Garunteed by Danny Garcia- Found on Vol. 1 of the Daniel Garcia Project. It's an all backs routine where the magician obtains a deck that was "mistakenly" printed with just the back design on both sides of the card. However he then proceeds to fry the audience by changing this and revealing the card in a unique way. The effect has a great finale and teaches a great utility move as well. A whole deck of DBs is not required to perform it either. It's not my style, but Danny got some great reactions in his performance of the effect. This DVD alone is worth picking up just because its so chocked full of great routines in general.
These are all the effects that come to mind right now. I'm sure there are many more that aren't coming to me right now. I will post again if I remember.
