Ultimate Meet and Jam Sessions

Hi guys, its me Cedric Taylor, i notice a lot of you guys are willing to meet up at certain spots to do jamming sessions. I live pretty far from most of you guys. The offer is swell and all but i have an idea i hope you guys would harp on and seriously consider.

Since some of us live so far away. Why don't we come up with some checkpoints for every area in the U.S. What i am saying is, if we want to meet up with more than 2 people, why don't we save up some money for the summer vacations(i know a lot of you guys are school kids) for those in the south, the southern magicians meet up there. Northern(north), Eastern(east),etc. We vote on the most convienat checkpoint cities and meet there. That will give us ample, magicians, effects, styles, and even camera people do all collaborations and create a compilation of performances. Hell, we may even come up with some new effects along the way.

What do you guys think???

Keoke said it right. I know you want it to be just Theory 11 people but that is silly actually to limit it to our forum members. If you go to a convention and jam and listen to lectures you are gaining knowledge from the best there is out there as well as jamming with people of all ages, styles, etc. Just my two cents. That is why I go to other people's IBM ring meetings, my own rings meetings, and every magic convention that is in my state.

You can try it but I think Zachmonkey's worked because it was mainly for people in L.A.

If you do try it...I'm curious to how it pans out. Keep us posted.

Another thing - any convention that's not major like Blackpool, Magi-Fest or MagicCon can easily go unnoticed. Some are far away and hard to get to - imagine that sad guy with a deck of cards and a copy of Expert Card Technique who lives in the middle of Nebraska on a goat farm.

Working it out here would be a better idea. People not on the forums could be invited. Spectacular idea nonetheless.

Wait I was the sad guy stuck with "Expert Card Technique" except I was on a rural island in the middle of the pacific. I did just fine, but I understand your want of a forum wide meet its just not practical. I suppose you could schedual little meets on the forums for magicians in your area, none the less good luck.
