Where can I learn dice control?

Every video I find about dice control covers dice controlling at craps, which is bound to throwing over a 20 feet long table, together with other thousands of rules, and as a result the techniques are far too farfetched.

I just want to throw dice by myself at a surface and control the outcoming numbers, as long as it seems fair enough of a roll. No additional rules. Is there a place where I can learn a simpler control for a simpler situation like that?

Dice control and dice switches is one of those arcane arts that has never properly left gambling world and has yet to completely find its way to the magic world. To my knowledge, the person who knew the most about dice is non other than the great Tony Giorgio, who has passed away, and his work will probably never be publicly shared.
In terms of resources that are currently available, for dice switches (to bring shapes or other gaffed dice into play), Jason England has a very good tutorial here on theory11, and goes over some basic switches and grips. There’s also a good resource as a downloadable video on The Vanishing Inc website that goes over a few other switches.
As for dice control, probably the best resource that I know of is Martin Gardner’ “A die of another color”. Pretty hard to get, but if you can get a hold of a copy, totally worth it if controlling dice in a normal game (like Backgammon) is what you’re looking for. Another resource is Scarne’s book on dice, which is almost impossible to find. There are some more books regarding dice that I can’t remember the names of, mentioned in the credit section of Jason England’s video.
There are two more sources I can think of, one is John “Fast Jack” Farrell’s penguin live lecture. He was a mechanic in his time, and one of the best dice workers of his time. He covers a lot of material, both on dice and on cards; and even though his teachings isn’t the easiest to understand, you can learn a lot about some of the switches and controls that are probably only ever publicly thought in that video.
The final resource I will mention is Steve Forte‘s books, the “Casino Game Protection” and ”Poker Protection” books, which are really rare and hard to come by, and the 4th volume of his Gambling Protection Series, available at a few places, one of which is The Vanishing Inc website. As you probably know, the GPS isn’t designed to teach, as it was intended to bring awareness to gamblers and casinos in order to teach them how to protect themselves against cheats; but he shows each move in slow motion and from many different angles, and if you know the basics of dice control, it wouldn’t be too hard to learn from his videos.
Along with these sources, there are a few experts who have demonstrated (and not by any means exposed) some dice switches and controls on YouTube. Most of the videos are quite old, but worth taking a look at if you want to know how certain moves might look like. Two of the most prominent ones that come to mind are Ross. D. Tayler (also known as Maverick Conjuring), and J.J Sanvert. Both of these gentlemen are experts in sleight of hand, and have demonstrated and shared many performances of rare and difficult moves, and if you search thoroughly you might find some of their works on dice.
There’s obviously much more resources on dice work out there, if you’re willing to hunt them down, but these were just a few that can get you on the right track, and might lead you to find other resources. I hope it helped.
