    Please check it out!

That's really fun, but why do you make the first 2 aces vanish and the third change into another card? I feel like the first 2 vanishes were stronger then the third as well. Also, why weren't the x cards placed on the leader ace the same way the others?

    Topit and Gecko :D

The toppit was based on a device used for shop lifting. It isn't something that was created by magicians per se. That said, magicians have added bits and pieces over the years. What you see advertised are probably patterns for toppits that you would still need to take in to a tailor and have...

    The System Dan and Dave

Not every flourish, the Werm, and Molecule 1-3 for example were taught on the System I think and not taught on the Trilogy.

    Card mirage trick

This looks like Dan Hauss' Gorilla Change. It has a small change that, if I have guessed right, doesn't change the method significantly. In order to get it accepted you need to show its strengths when contrasted with the other available methods out there. You can do this by showing a full...

Anyone familiar with An Ha Lim?

To each their own. I prefer this small piece of Lance Burton's card manipulation to Ah Ha Lim. I like Lance's casual manner and the simplicity of his act. The pace varies and he gives the audience time to process what is happening. His manipulation starts at 4:18 Then there's the unmatched...

Anyone familiar with An Ha Lim?

No, this isn't cardistry. It's just really intense classical card manipulation. I've been familiar with his work for a few years and I can't stand his style. His skill is impressive but I have never really been entertained.

    Closer, ring and string

John Gustafero has an ending where he takes the string ties it in a knot and pops it on and off in a visual manner. He finally pops the ring onto the string while it is around the spectators neck. The spectator can then take their ring and the string home with them. I know many magicians will...

    UNO card deck

The stock, finish and durability is completely different from UNO to bicycle decks. UNO cards just aren't made for magic.. That doesn't mean you can't use them, it just makes them difficult to use. Here's a trick created by Kyle Marlet using the cards. http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/3570

    Books and Dvds

I keep revisiting Expert Card Technique and am always finding new stuff, If you could do everything in that book alone you'd be one of the best card magicians out there.

Best black deck for performing magic

Cards will clump, and get rough over time. If you didn't keep the cards in a box then it made the cards worse quicker. Cards can't get thicker with time, on the contrary they usually become more supple, and flexible over time. Given you take care of the cards and keep them clean. It sound like...

Best black deck for performing magic

What do you mean? Are you thinking the Bicycle decks are too stiff for your liking? Then you should not go with black decks. Most of the decks you listed are printed on casino grade cards stock. Which means they are extra stiff and extra thick. If you are talking about flexibility in the sense...

    what about number force?

The linking ring is the magic magazine of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. It's only available to club members at the moment.

    what about number force?

Yes, there are a bunch. Peter Turner goes over a version in his lecture with Murphy's. I just published a type of force in the Linking Ring. Jim Steinmeyer has one in his book Nothing but Mystery. Jay Sankey teaches one in his effect sound waves. There is also this classic...

What are your thoughts on card pouches?

I use a classic Porper card clip but I have been very interested in the other options like: Jamie D. Grant's Vault Michael Eaton's Vert Card Clip. It fits over the belt, similar to a pouch. Then the'r the High Caliber magic Holster, which is AWESOME!

    Bottom Deal

It's better now, the camera distortion is helping the video out a little. The rhythm is much more consistent. That's the one of the easiest ways to work on a bottom deal. Just fix the rhythm.

    Method of reading mind:Number?

Peter Turner has a few ways to force/divine a thought of number on his at the table lecture. I recently released a number selection routine in The Linking Ring. With any luck it'llbe published on the Wire soon.

    Mat Franco's Got Magic.

I watched the whole thing, there was some really great magic included. Personally, I think it was the best magic special I have seen since Blaine's Real or Magic. He had a ton of good magic and a lot of new magic. My wife even enjoyed it, which is rare at our house.

Must-Have Features of an Ideal Trick Deck

I'm not sure where you are coming from. I'd like to lay out some of my favorite decks and why they are good decks of cards. I feel like I'm losing you with somethings. This is a deck of King's by Ellusionist. The deck comes in a secret stack that is very popular. The deck has no borders, so it...
