    Best Torn and Restored!!!!

Then I would get Torn or Rehab. Both can be used for strolling and usually the set up for both takes around 30 seconds to a min at the most. (which you could set a bunch at home before you go to your gig.

    The Best T&R?

If your friend already has the DVD, then why not just ask him what are the pros and cons of it. Problem solved.

    The Best T&R?

Counterfit Hollingworth is only available through Wayne's Lectures. I'm not sure when STAR comes out.

    Porper Clip. Black or Blue?

Shouldn't really matter what color you get, they both do the exact same thing.

    best sankey dvds?

E's Ambitious card DVD was OK, yeah it lacked a lot of things and could have been better. I do think Sankey's one was better and goes into more detail on the subject and gives you a bit more material. As for Sankey's DVD's. Front Row Sankey, Real Work on Restaurants, Invisible, and possibly...

    Thumb tips

The book switch as a lot of good advice on how to act and move when using a tt, the key here is to act like its not there and treat it like you real thumb. Also use a bit misdirection as well.

    Muscle Pass

That is because most magicians fail at thinking outside of the box, they need look at the bigger picture and look at what entertains people. Something like the pass is best used in an actual routine, rather than by itself. The same goes for most sleights out there.

    Muscle Pass

I suggest you learn it with some routines, otherwise its not as entertaining to laypeople and just seems kind of ho-hum.

    One coin routine

The best one coin routine i have ever seen is garret thomas's big coin little purse, though its hard as hell to do and the items needed for the routine are hard to find and kind oc pricey.

    Two Card Monte Questions

Why not just pull them out like a normal person would. It's not like you really NEED a big set up for it to work and really most people won't care if you take out the two kings and two aces and just set the cards up briefly right there. In fact it should only take you around 4 seconds to do so.

    jay sankey

He still has a lot of great effects, but many of them were created years ago. The main problem is that he seems to not realize that he need a bumper and an actual audience to test these ideas on. I know the guy must have a bunch of friends in the business (unless he's gone and screwed them all...

    The Best T&R?

Torn is good but something I would reccomend for strolling. I have heard good things about Rehab by Cameron Francis.

People are addicted to cards now?

I remember a year or so ago that Brad Christian tried to pull the analogy of somebody liking the Mona lisa because "it's just a painting on some paper.". Which at the time made SOME sense, all though it doesn't apply to playing. The Mona-lisa isn't mass produced and in the hands of 15 year old's...

People are addicted to cards now?

To me, the only good E cards I liked were the Master Deck (before they did a redesign of them and screwed them up.) In fact I still have a bunch of old Master Decks that I still use and practice with every so often. Sure they're not as brand spanking new as they once were and sure they may not...

People are addicted to cards now?

While I think this whole idea of causing a site to crash simply because a new deck of cards is coming out is incredibly silly. (The Paul Harris DVD set didn't even cause that much havoc and it had a lot more to offer than a newly designed deck of cards.). The question you have to consider is...

    Card counting?

Are trying to learn this so you can impress your friends with it or so you can actually try it in Vegas casinos. It could work nicely for your friends, but trying in Vegas would pretty much be impossible because they tend to have 5-6 decks in actions during most of their games and if you get...

What laymen are REALLY impressed by...

Not saying you do it. But I've seen plenty of magicians do that kind crap when they use anything fire related. Specially when using things like flash paper.

What laymen are REALLY impressed by...

I would say that they were less impressed with the fact that your wallet burst into flames, and more with the fact that their was a burst a flames near their freaking face. You'd react the same exact way too if somebody lit something on fire right near your face.

Masterfile or An Extension of Me?

Michael Vincent has two very good DVD sets, though his stuff is usually intermediate (though he is a very good teacher and he DOES teach a lot of the basics very well too.) Andrew wimhurst stuff is kind difficult. I would say that Bill Malone's stuff can range from simple to kind of...

How Do You Feel About This Kind of Performance?

I thought it was a really neat performance. The thing about it being out dated and all is kind of silly, because Lance Burton probably still does that in his shows, I know Jeff McBride (before he retired) was known for doing that kind of stuff in his shows as well, and I'm pretty sure a ton of...
