    Dynamo twists iPhone

Well he could drop it into his coat pocket while they reacting and shake their hands or something. It's not like they would notice any of that and the camera would just show their reactions like it does for most TV magic specials.

Learn to do the sleight or move to perfection, then spend hours on what to say.

Technically you can't ad lib from nothing. The same goes for people here saying they "improv" the entire show. You cannot improv from nothing. Personally, I would say that you should have an idea of what you want to say before you go about trying to master a sleight. Write a basic script and...

How to make a card pad

He never said, and if you believe that you have to learn all of that to become a "good magician", then you are pretty much over exerting yourself. Also Vernon has been dead since 1991, so his "views" on a lot of subjects are pretty much incredibly out of date and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

How to make a card pad

Or you could save yourself the time and wasted effort, and just perform effects that don't require table space.

Which Sankey products are worth purchasing?

That depends on what you want? Do you want his stuff that is incredibly impractical and lame, or the stuff that is actually practical and enjoyable for the audience. Front Row Sankey, Paperclipped, Airtight/Airtighter(which is a better more streamlined version that is on his Restaurant dvd)...

    Fool Us Act

I'm still a bit annoyed that this isn't playing in the States.

    Wallets..?

Depends on what you want. Most of these wallets pretty much do the same thing as the other. Personally I like the Jerry O'Connel wallets and maybe the Kaps wallet.

    Performance anxiety

Here's one thing you shouldn't be afraid of.. Screwing up. People will more than likely not remember you losing their card or flashing a coin that is palmed if you don't make a big deal of it. In fact the chances are they will most likely remember the good aspects of what you did or are doing...

    Goldfish production gimmick

Actually he doesn't, I'm pretty sure that he most likely doesn't perform anything from those two DVD's anymore and the goldfish production for a Walk Around setting is incredibly impractical and will most likely annoy people. It's mainly meant for stage and parlow shows.

    What are your other hobbies?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZEdDMQZaCU&feature=related The Old Republic looks so-so, I'm more looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim. For the most part besides magic, I usually enjoy traveling when I can afford it and when I get the chance.

    Teetering On Magic's Edge

Most professional entertainers are usually always on the road and don't often have the time to always respond to every friend request or email they get. It has nothing to with their personality or anything against, it's just one of the main things that happens when you end up becoming busy with...

A step back into the classics

Personally, I think the ACR should have maybe 3 or 4 phases. That way is a beginning, a Middle and an end and it doesn't end up boring people. You can make the last phase do whatever you want and it will still feel like it as a decent level of progression and still be enjoyable. 8 min for an...

    Goldfish production gimmick

I would definitely not recommend using this for walk around gigs, unless you plan on storing tons of different Gold Fish off to the side some where, but still the idea of putting a live Goldfish in a glass during a walk around gig is just unsanitary. This is more of a stage effect because you...

    Alan Rorrison on Fool Us

Well the show isn't about Fooling the audience, it's about Fooling Penn and Teller (Two guys who are in the know and have been for nearly 30 or more years.). The way they reveal how each guy does his effects really depends on how much respect they have for them. With the Michael Vincent act...

    Doing Magic for Megan Nicole!

Most youtubers barely get paid anything and yes I realize it takes a bit of time to put together their vlogs. I think around an hour or two of video editing. But other than that there is really nothing "talented" about talking to a camera about whatever random crap that happens during your day...

    America's Got Talent WHAATTT?!?

Eh I think the thing many people here are forgetting to consider is that with a show like Americas Got talent or any other ___Got talent show is that each act that appears on the show as pretty much very little control over how much time they have to perform and due to the way the show is made...

    What do you wear?

This is a really subjective question and it depends on entirely on the event, the season, the weather, your own personal style. blah blah.

Social Skills + Hecklers can be avoided

You shouldn't be afraid of letting your balls drop and standing up for yourself. If you just act submissive and too "nice" those types of people will never take you seriously and will just walk all over your entire life.
