Hi guys,
I've been practicing the strike bottom deal for a while now, and in my opinion it's gotten pretty decent by now. My biggest problem at the moment is the noise, as the sound of the bottom deal is much louder than the normal deal, thus making it easy for anyone to notice that I'm dealing...
I haven't seen much of KardSharp myself, though what I've seen of him is actually quite good as far as I can tell. As far as I've seen he orients himself towards Erdnase and his Bottom Deal tutorial is quite good as well. However, I understand how you reached your conclusion about YouTube...
Xavior Spade is a youtuber who does magic tutorials mostly (I don't really watch any of his videos, so that may be wrong information; I just know that he also does tutorials). He's selling a video of his on the pass which I got a few months ago, though I didn't actually start practising the pass...
First of all, that's a really good quote! Second, please don't think I'm one of those people who want to get around practising. I just think it would be good to have a similar move that I can use as long as I can't do the Pass good enough.
So you would recommend learning the one-handed shift...
Is there any big difference to the class pass, in execution or performance? Can I do things with it I can't do with the classic pass? (I don't know the Hermann Pass; well I know it exists, but that's it, so this is honest asking.)
And don't worry, I'm not looking for a way around practising. :)...
I've seen Mr Turner's DVD, but the price (plus shipping) put me off. I want to buy his DVD "The Cheat" though, there's tons of material on that and also something on passes and shifts.
I haven't found any video on the gambler's hop, so I've got no idea how that looks. Could you link me a video...
Really? I can see hardly anything he does. His false shuffles are a big exception to that rule, they are pretty well visible. But if I don't watch the video on .25 speed I see almost nothing else. But you're right with the rest.
Right now sadly I don't have the money to spend on every great...
I agree that, when executed very well, you don't really need anything else. The problem is: It's going to take a few years until I can execute it well enough to be nearly invisible.
Wait! I think I know what you're thinking: Probably something along the lines of "Has this guy learned nothing...
Hi guys, me again :)
I've been looking to broaden my repertoire (if you can call it that) of magic techniques a little bit, and as passes and shifts seem to be pretty handy both in card magic and in gambling I was wondering which passes/shifts you use most.
It would be great if you could focus...
Hi, sorry for replying only now, I didn't get to doing it earlier.
Wow, your post made it clear to me how much I've underappreciated the aspect of psychology until now. You're right, until now I've been obsessed with the technical details, not realizing how important psychology really is. I...
Don't worry, I'm not delusional enough to think 6 months are enough to master any move ;) But, as Richard Turner says: "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect." So I just wanted to know if there are some fine points I should know to make it more convincing.
Of course...
It's probably the same here. I just tried opening other T11 product pages and they don't work either. I'll see what I can do about that, thanks for the help!
I understand the importance of a well structured performance, but that's not something I'm worrying about yet, as I've only been doing this for 6 months. I know that I don't need to be able to do any move perfectly if I know how to misdirect the audience well enough. But this is more a thing...
Thanks a lot, but the page won't load. I tried it in a different browser as well and it didn't work there either. Do you know if the download is for sale anywhere else?
If I do faster it still doesn't look right. You may not really see what's going on, but it looks quite different from the fair shuffle, even if you can't quite put your finger on what's wrong. Thank you for pointing me towards Joey Moriarty; I've seen some of his work he posted on the forum and...
Hi Guys,
I'm having some trouble with my push-through shuffle and was wondering whether somebody could help me.
The concept is pretty straightforward and I'd say I'm able to do a decent push-through shuffle (good enough to fool most laymen). However, if you know how it works it's pretty obvious...
Thank you very much for the very elaborate response, it has definitively given me some food for thought. However, allow me to post a preliminary response.
If I understand correctly, you are saying that I thought a gimmickless deck switch would be best, when I thought about ways to achieve the...
