    Most important magic moves

Hi guys, For the last 8 months or so I've been practicing gambling sleight of hand (false shuffles, deals and passes mostly), but I'd like to start with magic moves as well. My problem: There are so incredibly many moves out there, it's difficult to know which to start with. I know it's really...

    Card Reveal

I saw that video as well, but my question wasn't about the "trick" itself, but about the move he performs at 1:11.

    Card Reveal

I almost suspected that those were different ... Well, thank you for your answer!

    Card Reveal

Hi guys, This card reveal seems to be fairly commonly used and looks quite cool: The card is flicked out of the middle of the deck and caught by the magician in his other hand. It'd be fantastic if you could tell me what this reveal is called, as I'd really like to learn it. Two demonstrations...

Tips to improve your riffle stacking

I think your work on gambling moves is absolutely incredible. You should think about doing a big project sometime and teach your bottom deals, your shuffles, the lot. I'd buy it in an instance and I know that many others would, too.

    Gambling techniques

I agree 100%. Personally, I'm afraid that Christmas could be too late. Mr England wrote that it would be "definitely out before the fall". And with ~1500 copies to go ... I expect them to be gone pretty quickly. Better start saving now! In case you want to read for yourself, this is the Magic...

    Gambling techniques

I know I'm late to the party, but just in case anybody's going to stumble over this: I'm gonna assume that Mr England refers to Steve Forte's book. It's been announced to be released autumn this year at the latest. Contrary to his other books and DVDs that I know of, this book will actually...

    Beginner Coin Magic

Hi guys, Up 'til now I've only done card sleight of hand, but I'm quite interested in starting coin magic as well. A few days ago I stumbled upon Vanishing Inc.'s "Innocent", which teaches 7 coin routines and 22 techniques for £12. Can anybody tell me anything about it? Is it good for a beginner...

    Drums Magic

That is not a bad idea, quite the opposite actually. Thank you for sharing it!

    Drums Magic

I think I figured out what's bothering me about the scenario I described above: First of all, the drums would steal the show (if they're played well enough, and anything less would be boring). Second of all, nobody would see the sticks in the first place, so nobody would notice if I "dropped"...

    Drums Magic

Thank you so much for the clip! It really is hilarious. Wish I had been so good in my first drum lesson ...

    Drums Magic

That's almost exactly what I thought: I sit at the drumset, playing something, the sticks "accidentally" fall out of my hands, but the sounds keep coming as I move my hands as though I'm still holding the sticks. Problem: Everybody present will say there's playback and I never really played...

    Erdnase shift one-handed cover

Of course, I understand that. The point was more that somebody with a little more experience could have a quick look at it and tell me whether it's rubbish or completely impractical, so I needn't spend any more time with it, or whether it could be okay. But I've seen on another thread that...

    Drums Magic

Hi guys, This is something I've been thinking about from time to time and Seth Hughes with his question about piano magic reminded me that I'm right at The Source For All Knowledge right here. So my question is, can you think of something magical I could do with a drumset (or other percussion...

    Erdnase shift one-handed cover

That's how I usually practise it as well. It just seems more natural; however, for the purpose of nullifying the cut of course I need to practise it with a break as well. While you're here: The last few days I've been playing around with a kind of mix between the one-handed pass (Erdnase) and...

It's commendable that you only comment on what you've personally experienced. Thank you!

    Erdnase shift one-handed cover

Actually, I've got one other question. Shifting the two halves is really a very large movement. I find it hard to believe that nobody, even if they're not looking at the deck, would notice that. Even taking the other hand to cover it a little bit covers only a portion of the whole deck. I guess...
