    Kicker Endings / Surprise Climax

Those were my thoughts as well Randy. Sometimes just a good ole fashioned "What the....?" as you nail your kicker is just as strong. Either way I found it interesting.

    Kicker Endings / Surprise Climax

While reading Pete McCabe's Scripting Magic, I came across a very interesting point that I thought I'd share. Some of you may know this and others may not but I'll post it anyway for the good of our members. It is said that, "The best surprise climax is one that does not come upon the...

Hofzinser Card Q&A By Jeremy Hanrahan

Jacob, They are very cool gaffed cards that are a pain in the rear to try and make yourself correctly...ha ha. We had guys in our club try and they were "so so" at best. For 3 of them that price is a steal. I'm like you though. I have to know ahead of time some great effects that I will use...

Can Tool be used with Omni Deck?

I know what am Omni deck is but I don't use one. For sake of exposure just PM me asking your question a little more directly and I'll do my best to help you.

Spectacle or substance? how do you perform

For me it entirely depends on the mood I am in and what type of audience I am performing for. If is a non paid performance and people are casually sitting around at a party or something and want me to perform, then I will do a few quick things in more of a "hey check this out type attitude". I...

Will David Blaine with have another special?

If he does it will have both positive and negative effects. Hopefully the pros outweigh the cons. I would think that we would then see an influx of young kids taking an interest in magic as it did right after his first TV show aired. It also has a positive impact on the sales of the effects...

    For those who get gigs...

Valid points Benji. I like the fact that you are getting an email commitment from your clients because the clients that you are booking obviously will take the time (hopefully) to type up an email and send it to you. Most of the people who I am working for are not going to type up and email...

Can Tool be used with Omni Deck?

I own Tool and use it a lot. Depending on what types of effect you do with the gimmick there may or may not be "heat" on the box. I don't know a thing about Redemption but do know that for the money Tool is outstanding in that you receive the DVD and 2 gimmicks to use. One downside on the Tool...

Ed Ellis - Interview (Post Your Questions)

What's up fellas, Next week I'm going to be hanging out with my mentor, Ed Ellis, and I have just received confirmation that we are going to shoot an interview for Theory 11 and our members. Those of you who have gotten on the Wire have probably seen a few of his videos floating around or...

    For those who get gigs...

Here's my take which is a bit different than Benji's, but then again we are completely different performers and this is not my full time job. I will normally answer the phone EVERY time for potential gigs because for the most part I am either booking a birthday party gig or a wedding reception...

How many Split Spades Lions were printed???

Yes...they are very difficult to find now days (especially the black ones). Occasionally you can find Red and Blue at some magic websites or on ebay for about $10 per deck.

    Billet work

What a plethora of billet info Craig! Chances are you aren't receiving much feedback due to the demographics and lack of performing experience for most of these youngsters. Thanks for sharing.

    Holiday Contest

Hey Guys, great question / concern and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. theory11 has decided to run the contest this way so it is fair for ALL of our members including our members who are out of the country. Last year the contest favored people who made purchases that required...

How to Handle Hecklers by Keith Fields

Yes..I have it. It's a great read. It is not a very big book and is not hard cover but the information in it is pretty good.

Patrick Kun :: Live Magic at a House Party (2 part

Nice work Patrick, loved watching the performances. I'm assuming the coin through the deck was Jay Sankey's "In a Flash"? I used to use that routine a few years back.

    Crazy Imagination I Have

Greg, your idea is not too far fetched as most "swing" bands and competition bands do actually perform in this exact manner. They flip, twist, toss, and flourish with their instruments. Now, that being said, I have never seen an orchestra do it but it could definitely happen.
