    Lottery Ticket Trick

You can be surrounded but their is multiple realities involved. To do it to full impact you should have an audience of at least 100.

    That One Effect

Haha I seem to have the opposite problem- I CAN perform a Q&A but have never had the inclination to. I've always wanted to do the Haunted Pack, since it's a remarkably beautiful effect, but it's never been consistent with my "power" and the message I'm trying to convey. I also don't have the...

Cool Way too store a prediction

So you're saying They set a word. It does not open the cryptext. YOu open the cryptext. Inside is a scroll contatining the chosen word. I don't get why they cant just name a word in this situation...

Cool Way too store a prediction

If the chosen word is shown to open the cryptext, doesn't predicting the word become redundant? Depending on how you play it out, a secondary reveal could work quite well

Cool Way too store a prediction

Hmm. Better if you could get two revelas out of it. 1) They try random words out on the thing. It doesn't open. You "send" them a word mentally, and they set it. It opens. 2) A choice is made. The scroll inside predicts that choice.

    Whats your strongest mentalism effect...?

Well the audience has no idea how minds are "supposed" to be read, so its perfectly exscusable and perhaps even preferable if we use pendulums, crystals, etc. to "aid" the process, if only to add a bit of realism.

    Whats your strongest mentalism effect...?

How could you possibly say that the "main" premise of mentalism is to use as few props as possible? Don't tarot readers use props? How about tea leaf readers? Isn't what they do far more "pure" than the mentalism than we do? Sheesh. It doesn't matter HOW we read minds, as long as we do it...

    Drawing Duplication

Then wouldn't Desire fit better? The whole thing about sneak thief is the ability to give readings to the different people.

    Drawing Duplication

I'm assuming that the original poster is looking for a DD that works with just one person. Sneak thief is out.

    Drawing Duplication

Theres a sort-of design duplication with just ordinary business cards in Alain Nu's Mind over matter. The spectator draws a drawing, it's lost among a bunch of business cards. They then use their own intuition to find the card among the others, and you finish by duplicating the drawing

    A particular peek?

Thinking about it now- no way it can be Dance of the Shiva, which requires you to handle the billet extensively. Derren doesn't seem to have even touched the billet in his show. Perhaps a different method?

    Where to stab the doll?

I'm guessing the heart will be most popular. Whoopdeedoo, I'm right. After all, isn't that how you kill vampires?

    Downs Palm, Advice Plz

Palm backwards is standard, since down's palm is usually used for concealing multiple coins. In example, you could have 5 coins in downs palm, produce 4 of them with the palm towards you, and the last one you turn around and put the palm towards them.

    Tarot Deck

The Universal Waite tarot looks fantastic. Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen the Crowley tarot, but a bit too dark for my taste.

    Need help with voodoo trick!

Buy a pack of index cards and draw a body on one of them. This should take it away from the "card trick" aspect and still allow you to retain most of the same methodology.

    Tarot Deck

Anyone know of a decent tarot deck that isn't too expensive? Preferably one that doesn't look too "modern," as I will be aging the cards. Hmm, if it helps at all, the cards won't be manipulated nearly as much as a standard pack. They'll mostly be used for readings, but maybe a demonstration...
