    Skullduggery by Luke Jermay

Luke Jermay's pulse stop "For Andruzzi" uses no gimmicks and nothing but the power of human suggestion. it is also completely impromptu. Seems nice eh?

    Does Coin Magic...

Alright Mr. Morgician sir... i will attempt to give these three effects some unboring patter! NOTE: this patter will probably still be extremely boring. BENT COIN: (in the context of a mentalism show) Manipulating something like thoughts... is something abstract and philosophical, and so is...

Yes i would call a coin bending in someone's hand mentalism, but only if you choose to present it as such.

    Derren Brown's Awesomeness!

Paying with Paper is NOT a Jermay plot (although his is probably very good) The plot gos as far back as Dunninger or Anneman. I think Building Blocks will do a lot for your "Derren Brown" styled mentalism, and i've heard "sleight of mind" is good for your magic/mentalism/hypnosis/NLP.

    Ego Change

Correct. tilting the deck downwards will provide more cover, but you have to make sure you don't flash in the back. Hopefully i'm being vague enough.

For silver coins... Sandpaper to make them soft, and bleach to darken them. For clad coins... wait 30 years or so.

Why are you using half dollars and silver dollars?

Are you asking this to find out, or asking to give an exscuse to your specators? i mean, you won't be able to say to your specatators "I use half dollars because they are easier to conceal." You would probably say something like "I used to use pennies, but nobody was impressed when something 3...

I think "copper slugs" refers to copper coins. Not real slugs that are made of copper. that would be creepy.

    Kennedy Half Dollar 1964?

Actually, the coins were made with a 40% silver content up to 1971. All custom gaffers will get you coins in silver, unless you specify otherwise.

    Does Coin Magic...

Why would one coin change from one metal to another? Nathan Kranzo gives an excuse that couples with his "Stone Purse." "The magician is afraid that someone will want to steal his nice silver coins so he turns them into worthless copper slugs." That's the Kranzo line. Also, i...

    Does Coin Magic...

Feelings are getting hurt. Remember that you don't have to be mean to prove your point. To take this from another angle, what type of magic does have interesting and fun presentations? When we find that out, we can deconstruct and apply what we find out to coins.

    Does Coin Magic...

I think one of the main reasons that coin magic is as popular as it is, is that it is fun to practice. Sure, the audience may not particularly like it, but the magician sure does! True, coins are not as "large" as cards, doves, elephants, or minivans the some might produce, but the...

    Does Coin Magic...

I think this is one of the reasons that T. Nelson Downs had so much success. He performed a routine (Miser's Dream) that had an emotional hook. Who doesn't want to be able to pull money out of air. What's more, people came to watch him BECAUSE they knew that it was possible to catch him. They...

Nice! Strangely, you don't "snap" the card as you pick it up. it's a nice convincer. The "snap" pickup is shown here. (Shoot only "snaps" the first card he picks up in the video though.) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DEHr3OVey9w&feature=related
