I hate that Hypnotic routine by Tudor, it's ridiculously fast and not engaging. After the first couple of dribble passes i just get very bored. It seems like a "look what i can do" and "i'm the best in the world" kind of routine.
If you're good with angles, i suggest doing DnD's Commercial...
It really depends on your skill with cards. Most people go through all CC volumes, i skipped the first one and just finished the third. Need to get through two more.
I say vol 2 is the best even though i haven't read 4 or 5 simply because vol 2 has a huge section on the theory of magic and...
A Poker Puzzle, i think thats what its called, is the best trick in the book in my opinion.
You show a demonstration of bottom dealing the kings for yourself, do it again fairly and show that youve dealt yourself the aces. People really think you possess incredible skill while its actually...
I don't think i've ever performed Tivo 2.0 to real spectators if i'm being honest.
I have performed Tivo Transpo to people because its more forgiving. I have also performed most of the other Trilogy tricks.
Its just about good judgement of the situation.
I've only done this once, but it paid off:
Before starting the trick, i gave the spectator a small box of mints to hold on to, she picks a card, i tear the corner, make it vanish...blablabla...
I then ask her to open the box shes been holding the whole time and BaNg! The same corner!
Back to DDC.
I actually like using the control because it looks like nothing has happened and my pass is still in development. It just needs to be very smooth in order to fool people.
Like Medifro, I urge everyone to seek out Card College 2 and read the end of the book which covers a lot of...
And to people who talk about angles I have two words : Audience Management.
That is to say, put them where you want them and force them to stay...subliminally of course, most people think you're giving them a better view of whats about to happen if you move them-not thinking that you're also...
I don't think it matters that much. If people want to display their flourishing skills why should others stop them.
I am personally not into flourishing simply because i prefer magic but i still love watching the Bucks do their stuff.
I think there is more flexibility when making a video of...
You could use my False Pass as i call it: card in centre, display it, take a brake so to speak, tell him to watch the top card carefully, do a pass UNDER the top card (bottom half revolves around) and then a dl to show the same card.
It really depends on what you're looking for and what you already have.
Paper Engine, Outjogged Hermann is taught.
The Trilogy, DnD's tricks are taught.
Totally Out of Control, Kenner's stuff is there.
Flo is also taught in a Sessions booklet.
Lee Asher has PDfs with some of the stuff - BS...
This is my favourite way of adding cards to the deck.
Let a spec shuffle, emphasise the fairness and then make someone else cut the cards, when they're all done, take the deck and shove it in your pocket while saying something like "You didn't think i was gonna use that deck after you messed...
