    At long last! A J. Bayme 1-on-1

There are a couple of threads on this already mate, have a look around :)

    Dan Hauss and Jay Sankey

Ditto with S.Mills, I think that's a very sensible approach. I don't know enough to judge - but I'd like to hear more. I have heard word of the Sleeping Queens one though. The other thing to keep in mind is that it may simply be better marketing on the side of Hauss, if indeed he happened to...

    theory11 : Smoke & Mirrors - Special Edition : Invitation

I don't think it's egotistical at all. It's their decks, it's their design - as Webby pointed out, DB did the same - no-one complained about his king. No-one complained about the Wynn logo either. In fact, all it is is their right to place whatever they want on it. To me, taking advantage of a...

    Street Magic...

If you want to get less nervous, there's only one thing which will really help - just do it anyway. The more you perform, the less nervous you'll be. Unfortunate, that you have to confront the nerves to get over them, but good also. Stuff like approaching your audiences as a person rather than a...

Where do you find the time?

Finding time really depends on your schedule - but absolutely, you've got your priorities right - do your work first, study, whatever you need to, that's the most important thing. But any time you have a free second, you can be doing flourishing practice if you wanted.

    By Forces Unseen

If you're very advanced, and still want a challenge, go for it - just be warned, it's very hard. How do you know Jacks if you don't have it? It's one of the more commonly reported favourites from there though.

    No Cover Color Change

Well, in the case, a properly done Erdnase fits the bill.

    I just realized

Depends what you mean by "more" advanced - BFU is "VERY" advanced, very very very hard, so get it if you're very good and still want a challenge. As far as sleights go, The Paper Engine is a very commonly recommended book, but has many sleights I use. Otherwise, perhaps look into some Marlo...

    How many tricks?

I made a post about this a while ago... Briefly - many people say you it's better to know a few than lots and lots. This is true to a certain extent. A certain story regarding a boy and a magician comes to my head. However, if you can perform dozens of tricks well (IF), there's nothing wrong...

    Best Pass Surrounded?

I agree with Sean, steer clear of passes. Passes are good to know, and there are several proponents of the dribble pass here. But in your circumstance, just use another control. If someone's staring at your hands, a spread pass won't cut it at all, there's simply no way to hide it if they're...

    School Magic

Try and moderate your performing a little, so you're not racing through your new material as the class magic pig. That way you're not under pressure to learn things and perform them quickly either, and you won't run out of material..

    Pinky Breaks...

Look around for places that teach double lifts - there are many sources that teach lifts which require pinky breaks, that's probably your best bet, since there are many ways to get a pinky break, not one universal pinky break.

    Lit by Dan White

Compression is also highly anticipated, but uses an old principle around for a long time (and mostly lost), is what I hear.

    Your Favorite Books on Magic

Yeah, the stuff in The Paper Engine is performable - as with anything, you'll have to work at it, but I perform that stuff. lol @ the last 15 years. If you're gonna buy books, why limit yourself by cutting out many of the best ones?

    Magic and Girls

A book - make a new thread telling us what you like though, if you want to ask the forum. Depends on a lot of things. I have to agree with Baller and Phenomena; having said that, let's not forget that in this specific case, Abu has shared something successful also. But good words to heed for...

    People Revealing Tricks on Youtube

This topic has been discussed fairly well over the past little time period here, but briefly - I think that most people would agree that in most cases, the exposure of marketed effects such as those listed above is highly unethical and is almost universally frowned upon. The problem arises when...

    T11 Video Production

Of course they do, but what T11 do is very, very different from what professional film producers do. Apples and oranges, from someone in the business - though I don't disagree per se.

    Name this trick!

I refer to post number three (the third one from the top). That looks like a creator name to me. I dunno. Maybe I'm just old. And the effect name too. Funny, that.

    No Cover Color Change

I'm pretty sure "apparently little cover" isn't "ABSOLUTELY NO COVER". Just, you know, putting it out there. In case people didn't read even the first post.

    "Do a trick."

That's probably the biggest thing you have to be wary of - only so much you can show people if you go to school or something before you run out. By all means keep learning though - I usually test out new stuff on people who ask me to do something.
