    Best Gambler's Moves

Well for this area of card work, DVDs aren't your best resource but here are a few notable DVDs: Gambling Protection Series (Steve Forte) On Card Cheating (Darwin Ortiz) Fast Company (Damian Nieman) Cheers, Shanku

    Padiddle?

Yeah, the laymen and flourishers alike love it. I can't do it but my friend can do it with a book. It's pretty cool because he can get some good speed with it. I can do it with a pen and a calculator.

    Padiddle?

Andrei didn't create the padiddle. It's an old circus move done mainly with plates and stuff. You can learn the card version it in Jerry Cestkowski's book "The Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes"...

    Impromtu card magic

"From A Shuffled Deck In Use" by Paul Cummins. ...and it's "Drawing Room Deceptions" by Guy Hollingworth... not "drwing room decpitions"

    Truffle Shuffle

I got it down in a week or so. It's fairly easy compared to a lot of other false ITH riffle shuffles.

    False Shuffle

If you know how a Zarrow Shuffle works, you obviously will be able to spot one just due to the motions. Laymen don't have a clue about the Zarrow Shuffle so they don't know what to look for. Whatever you do, don't get Card Sharp by Brian Tudor because personally, I think he can't do the moves...

    Tutorial forum?

Well there's no secret behind flourishes but there are secrets behind magic tricks. It would pose quite a problem.

    Pinkie Count

You guys seriously need to improve your sentence structuring. I believe you can learn the pinky count on "At the Card Table" by Darwin Ortiz but I'm not sure.

    Number of Cuts

I get that often too... It's fun because the audience is somewhat involved.

    Open Mike Night

Like Heckler said, do something a whole lot of people will be able to see. Stay away from the one-person style effects like "Control" and go for big, visual things like rising card with a jumbo deck...

    Number of Cuts

Well I like the displays that come out of a cut (for example, Lethal Ex) so getting to 9 or 10 packets in a cut would sort of mess up the flow... but that's just me.

    Number of Cuts

You'd need more than one deck to do a 54 packet cut since a packet is technically more than one card. Usually 3 or more cards count as a packet. With a regular deck, I could probably get a maximum of 13-14 packets but it would look hella ugly. A nice display cut should be a MAXIMUM of 9...

    I need tricks!

I agree wit praetoritevong. You should also check out any material from Peter Harrison as most of his material can be adapted for the street. Oz Pearlman's "Born to Perform Card Magic" DVD is great too. Daniel Madison's ONE and THREE have all card material. (Royal Road to Card Magic is by Jean...

Custom USPC Bicycles - Build Your Own Deck!

$20 for a single deck that just looks better but handles the same as regular Bikes? No thanks.

    Cardistry... is it Public Domain?

I agree with UnholyGodn. Wouldn't you be proud knowing that someone out there appreciates your work enough to try and do it themselves? They're not learning it because "omgz itz so undurgrowndz!" but because they like the actual flourish and would like to perform it. Please stop getting all...

    LePaul Spread Questions

What? Do you want that in metres per second or miles per hour? This is a question that cannot be explained in words other than "experiment and find what suits you". Again, this is something you have to experiment with. I personally keep my thumb very lightly on top of the spread as it just...

    De'Ring by De'vo

The ring can be quite snug but it might take a bit of extra practice to get the moves down. The DVD goes over what shape, edge, size, etc. so you don't go scraping your skin off and bleeding while practicing/performing.

    Rear palming

I meant that you can use it. I didn't mean that it's the only way to do it. I'm aware of much more preferable methods of palming cards for gambling/cheating purposes.

    Variations of Tricks

If the trick is based on another, but uses different sleight to achieve a similar result, it is a variation. Sometimes, they are called "handlings"... For example, there are several "handlings" or "variations" or Dai Vernon's Triumph. They can be radically different methods but the end result is...
