    Paperclipped HELP

I believe there are 'degrees of impossibility'. Different effects get different reactions, I think this is because of the perceived impossibility. I think some effects are so impossible that they lead the audience to the solution. It's nice to be able to try and shatter somebody's reality...

    Paperclipped HELP

Yes, we are. However, I think there are limits to what we can expect people to believe. Expecting them to believe that their signed card has been in a paper clip before they even selected it and signed it is unreasonable. It's similar to showing every card to be the same on a Svengali deck...

    Paperclipped HELP

I believe the lack of reaction could be because of the nature of the effect. The spectators know that the card hasn't been in the paper clip the whole time, it's just not possible. They will probably be confused as they won't know when you switched it. It's more of a puzzle than a magic effect...

Anyone know what T11's next DVD will be?

I've heard Suffocate being talked about for quite some time. I have no idea if anybody has actually seen it. I think people said it was an effect where you crush a can without touching it. I think there's also a new performance of Thread on Wayne Houchin's website so that could be released...

    First Video

I'd like to see some live performances. To be honest I don't really want to watch a video of sleights and tricks being done for camera, it's been done before thousands of times and just isn't that entertaining to watch (at least not for me). People will most likely watch it once and forget...

Approaching people to show magic and reactions

I don't think your choice of effect is that important. There's a lot of potential problems when performing on the street. People are often busy and have other things on their mind, when you walk up to somebody you have absolutley no idea what's going through their head. Maybe they lost their...

    Clipshift Winter Change

The original way of getting into it is not shown, however getting into it with the Clip Shift is. Once you know how to do this the change itself is very simple and can be performed just by watching the DVD. So you can perform the Winter Change just by watching Surfaced.

    Which 1-on-1?

If I had to choose one i'd say the Outjog Herrman Shift by Aaron Fisher, I think it's by far the best value for money. It's practical, fairly easy and is something you can use all the time. Although honestly I think these threads are pointless, is it really that hard to make up your own mind...

    Routining Witness and Indecent

I can't see why anyone feels the need to do this. Just because they both use a plastic bag doesn't mean you need to find a way to force them together. It's completely unnecessary. Both are powerful enough to close your routine, using them together will just weaken each of them. Most of the...

Ghost Gaff vs Black Tiger Gaff vs Trilogy DVD's and Split Spades?

I would say The Trilogy is not for a beginner, many of the moves are fairly challenging. They also need to be performed very smoothly to make them look good, this would probably not be possible for a beginner. I've seen the effects on The Trilogy performed by people who are obviously not...

How do you answer hard questions?

I don't think this approach is a very good idea. Once you accept their challenge you are then performing on their terms. This process could just continue. Once you pulled a card through the window you could just get something else like 'can you walk on water like Criss Angel'. I think...

    Heckler Help

If you have a heckler that is working out all your tricks what are you hoping to achieve by catching them out with one? What's the best thing that could happen? They'll probably just come up with some absurd explanation as to how you did it even if they don't really know. When somebody is...

    Repro Retro

It's a minor variation on the orignial Reset routine by Paul Harris, you can just learn that then watch a performance of Repo Retro and work out the small differences. I normally wouldn't advise doing this sort of thing but it's so close to the original I don't think it really matters.

    Advice

It wasn't bad but didn't make a lot of sense. I don't think you should mess up the structure of a trick just so you can have an unnecessary kicker. It's just strange when you say 'pick a card', 'We'll lose the 7, now here's two other cards'. Spectators often have trouble keeping track of...

    Tonight's Events : White Centurions + NEW 1-on-1

I love this 1 on 1. Thanks for listening to our feedback.

    Another Fearson Levitation!

Just because they use the same principe doesn't mean they are equally likely to fool people. If you use a Svengali deck and show all the faces are the same then most people will work out you're using a trick deck. If you use it in a more subtle way they probably won't suspect a trick deck. I...

    Another Fearson Levitation!

Don't underestimate a laymen, it wouldn't be difficult for an intelligent spectator to come up with an explanation. The blanket adds to this, it will make them wonder what is being covered up. It doesn't matter if this is the original method, it has been surpassed by other levitations.

The Time Machine - With A Twist

I didn't like it that much to be honest. The kicker ending made no sense. In an inversion routine after the card has turned face up and face down it makes sense to then have the whole deck turn face up or down as a kicker. In a Colour changing routine where a card changes from red to blue...

    Another Fearson Levitation!

To be honest I think this looks stupid. The Criss Angel levitation is far more impressive. I think any observant spectator could quite possibly work this out. People are far more intelligent than a lot of magician's seem to think they are, just because they aren't familiar with magic...

    Dangerous Or Trilogy?

Angle Zero is the only trick in which cards are ripped, you should not overlook it just because you rip a card, it's one of the most powerful effects on the DVD. Just place a card from an old deck into the deck your using and use that card. You can then perform Angle Zero 52 times from one old deck.
