The time now is 11:00pm EST, and that means it's time to announce this evening's winner. Tonight's prize goes to Ben Long, with his correct submission of "How Gamblers Win."
The book was first published in 1865 and attributed to Gerritt Evans, or "a retired professional" under it's anonymous pen. As mentioned in the modern day introduction written by Steve Forte, this was the first publication to really popularize the term "advantage playing" to refer to card cheating. Covering everything from false cuts to false shuffles to briefs, crimps, and even loaded dice, it's a pretty fascinating early text on card technique (Pre-Erdnase).
