Hi Danny,

I use Sony Vegas 8 for my videos, and I find it works perfectly. It does take a while to get used to if you've been using a program such as Windows Movie Maker, but the results are awesome. Highly recommended.

Well, I'm guessing your looking for some pro stuff but if you want some simple effects like slow mo, fast mo, black and white, screen transitions as well as other stuff then you can use the absolutley free windows movie maker.

But hey, I like cheap so this might not work for you.
