Well since you asked.

I'm Katie. I am not a magician but I have been around the magic community for most of my life.
I am originally from Modesto, Ca. Only to have found myself living in LasVegas, NV doing what I love everyday.

I go to a lot of shows. If you want a review of any Vegas show, I'll give you one.

Being that I see magic almost everyday of my life, it is a passion of mine. I am a supporter in the revolution of magic. If you want to know more, I set up a profile. Or you can just ask.

My name is Adam Cole, and I am from just outside of Boston, MA. I am almost 17 years old, and have been into magic for around 8 years or so. I saw a magic show when I was very young, and I quickly got into it. I tried to learn as much as I could. Whenever I was on the Cape, I would force my parents to take me to the joke shop/magic shop. I am into close up magic, so I am not really a specialist in one area, but I dabble in cards/coins etc...I love acting as well, and I really enjoy presenting magic and not just the mechanics of it. I don't really perform much for actual groups or people I don't know, but I am working on it. I guess I am still worried about not being able to get respect due to my age and the fact I look younger =D Well thats a little intro I guess, and welcome everyone!

My name is Shane, and I'm in the Jamestown area of North Carolina. I'm 19 years old and am a freshman in college. I've been into magic ever since I was a little kid watching "The Worlds Greatest Magic" shows on television. Only recently, however, was I able to find a source for learning the art that I've been dieing to learn all of my life. I've been a part of other magic forums, but never did I actually feel at home with the forums or the people there. I hope that here is truly what Lee Asher called Home.

Hah, nice.

I remember being absolutly amazed by the performers. Also, who could forget Mac King's humerous parts. I was in shock when Max Mavin did a interactive trick through the television screen.

It's nice meeting you though Adam. I hope to see you around.

eagle I would love to edit a promo vid of yours, I've edited a couple small time videos for magic and my own stuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTwwV5p0Fds

the intro is for a site that no longer exists, so it's not really a plug, and this is me a little more than a year ago, so if you do watch the video, don't bash it too hard, and don't clog up this thread with reviews, comment on my youtube account.

but thats just to show that I'm not a windows movie maker editor, I know what I'm doing.

edit: where you going to collage? anywhere near san diego and I could drive out and help you film the video.

Alrighty then, I suck at writing these little "About me" type things, but for laughs and for the sake of you all, I'm gonna try.

I'm Jon(athan) Rice. 16 years young, but age is a number..for the most part. I have been actively involved in acting and performance since age 5, appearing in different plays and musicals. I'm from Maryland, but on the state line so to you all Washington, D.C.

I've been interested in magic since the same time I started acting, but only actually got into the art around age 10. The first 2 years or so were fairly mediocre, as I took the wrong path. The third year, I met my mentor Chris McCauley, and that got me back on track. I love entertainment in general and I am a pure magic geek. If I were to classify myself, I would very likely be a card guy, though all types of magic interest me. One of the first things that made me want to get into magic were the old "World's Greatest Magic" Specials produced by Gary Oullet. I distinctly remember watching Rene Lavand performing his Oil and Water routine, Bill Malone performing "Sam the Bellhop.", and Juan Tamariz's utilization of the Car Buggy. Grand illusion was great, but the close-up stuff interested me more.

So, I do have to get this out there: Some of you may recognize me from a bunch of forums. Over the years, I have visited many. These include but are not limited to Ellusionist, The Magic Cafe (AKA Green Monstaa), The Genii Forum, dananddave.com forums, Penguin Magic forums, and decknigue. So what I really am trying to say is don't classify me as a penguin guy or an ellusionist guy or whatever. I am simply a magician (who happens to like to stay current).

So, I'm here because I've been watching the hype for theory11 just like the rest of you. What also intrigued me were the names involved. I respect each and every one of the artists involved in theory11, and more than one could go into my list of favorite magicians. The community here is going to grow for the good, and I can't wait to be a part of it all.

I'm always up for talking theory, magic, performance, sports, heck anything. So yeah. If you live in the maryland area, you can hit me up at Barry's Magic Shop once in a while.

And I still suck at doing "About me" type things, but at least you have an idea of what I'm about, and why I'm here.

Let's just not take ourselves TOO seriously.

I don't think as a magician theres much room to take yourself seriously, your going to get shot down, criticized, kicked, bashed, hacked at, called a loser, sayings like get a life will often come down on your head, and just brush it off (go on brush your shoulders off) and keep going, it's not the end that counts, it's the journey.

I am matt more commonly known as fraud because I goined the ellusionist forums right before the trick fraud came out in 2006 I love magic and would love to be a professional magician like wayne or somthing and create affects the only thing is I have alll these ideas for tricks but no methods for them I have a problem with coming up with methods. Another problem is that my freinds think I am good but I dont but I think that is because I listen to everything I have heard from pro magicians and remember it but I dont have the time to go out and perform it(being a kid is hard)

beans i live in texas im going to sam houston state university. i still need to clear some stuff up with the school because i work with the university and i asked a administrator if i could do it and he said that may be "soliciting" i thought that was one of the most retarded things i ever heard but i dont think it will stop me. as soon as i get everything set it may be 1 or 2 months but i'm in no hurry its not like the school is going to run out of students for me to perform on and i could also use some help on a routine what tricks should i do for 19-24yr old students? i'll let you know when everything is good to go thanks

no problem, I would say you should use whatever your good at, magic really doesn't have an age limit, the story you tell usually dictates the ages, you may have to change your patter but you can still do card transpositions, a coin routine, mentalism, it really doesn't change much for different age groups.

Hi guys, i live in Belgrade, Serbia (Europe) and have been interested in magic whole my life, but i'm practising it for only 2 months :( I am a basketball coach and magic is my hobby that i took pretty seriously (i practise a couple of hour's every day) and i'm a fast learner... But the only problem here is that people are not that interested in magic as they are in other countries. In last 15 years we have been trough 2 big wars and country separation, so people have so much on their mind, and they are very bitter so i dont think i can make any money out of magic here, but i will keep practising, who knows what may come up.

My name is Jack Pettite. I currently go to school in Ithaca, New York. I've been practicing magic for 3 years. I am here to further my knowledge about and ability in magic, and incorporate it into my routine. I enjoy performing for others, and seeing their reactions. Hopefully, this site will help me to continue flabbergasting my audience.

Cheers,
JTM

My name is Ryan Nelson and I have been performing magic since my 9th birthday so that makes it about 6 years now. I'm turn 15 on the 17th this month so Im gonna be a big boy soon, haha.

I can not put into words how much I love magic as a whole. Just the whole concept give me goosebumps. Doing something no one eles can do has always ben a fascination with me and I finally found a way to express that through magic when I got a magic set from my grandma when I turned nine. I was hooked ever since. As most of you I looked of "Free Magic Trick" on Google and started checking out magic books outta the library and stuff like that. Later I found Ellusionist and start purchasing from there. I mustered up the courage to perform for my first stranger at the movie theatre when I was 11 and......it was one of the worste excuses of magic ever! Haha, but you have to learn the hard way to learn this art right?

Since I was nine magic was the only thing I wanted to do and to this day it's the only thing I want to do. To show people that the impossible is within reach of ordinary people like me. And a teenager at that! I want to have meaning in my magic and when I go out and perform whether it be on stage or walk around or for my family, I want it to mean something to the person I'm performing for.

I GUARENTEE YOU WILL SEE MY NAME IN THE FUTURE HAVE NO MISTAKE. Until the day I die and whether it kills me, I will strive to be the best ever.

My name is Alex Dinkelmeyer, I live in Florida, USA. I don't think Florida is all that nice too humid and it is constantly hot. I have been interested in magic for some time now. When I was younger I showed little tricks with my cousins, who are around the same age, and then would show them how it was done to show there friends. But now I perform magic because I like to make people wonder about things and make them have an enjoyable time and happy. And I never tell people how it is done.

Who am I?

My name is Cory Landels, and I am from Victoria, Canada. I have been interested in magic all of my life, but it has been a serious hobby of mine for almost two years now. Magic is something I really love, and I feel that it raises a lot of awesome issues. I currently work at a restaurant every Monday night, and perform at any other event I can. I am 14 years old, and one day I'm gonna show the world what I can do...

My dream is to be able travel the world and shoot a documentary with other magicians about life, and just having fun and making the most out of it. We'll use magic to get the message across, and the film will change the world.

Cory don't tell anyone your idea, thats how they get stolen. Like me, I have this dream that someday I will be able travel the world and shoot a documentary with other magicians about life, and just having fun and making the most out of it. We'll use magic to get the message across, and the film will change the world. But I would never tell anyone.

hahaha
