What are your opinions on Hoyle shell backs for magic?

I was looking around the internet and stumbled upon them on a site and liked the design. It said plastic finish so I wasn't sure. There doesn't seem to be an store near me thaat sells them so before I order online I was looking for some opinions

Regular hoyles are pretty good even though they are plastice coated. Never heard of these though.

They are okay. I wore them out in a day. They sell them at my Stater Brothers for like 3.50!
I'd rather just buy some Tally Ho's.

i like them alot

in my opinion, worth picking up at least one pack, just to see if they fir your personal taste

I used Hoyles back the early '80s when they were popular among the magic community. Prior to that I had been using Fox Lake and Aviator brands in the Bridge size. Bridge sized cards were the norm throuhout the '70s. Poker size began to surface in the '80s. Hoyle shellbacks are great IMHO and I still use them for a change of pace. I like Aviators also...
