Listen I am starting to get a headache from trying to read you posts.

This was my original post and I was going to leave it at that, you out of everyone here should know if you post something that is offensive to myself I will defend my point. You may call it crying or bickering it really isn't you just hit the one thing that keeps me going through life and that is my Pride. period now learn to type correctly.
To say that people in desperate situations would always resort to crime to survive is an unfair generalization.
I meet a lot of inner city people who have to survive on the streets (in freezing weather) and don't resort to crime to survive. To say that every poor person (for instance) is a criminal is simply not true, nor is it a fair conclusion.
I have also had the privilege to spend some time with two of our sponsor children in Honduras, who are (in Honduran standards) in some of the worst living situations. These are good people who do not need to resort to crime to survive, despite the most destitute situations (worse than most could ever imagine)
I may be in a desperate situation, but it doesn't mean that I have to be criminal. There is always a choice.

Steer: My response that you quoted comes from my experience with people far below the poverty line, and with the agencies I eluded to, as I have extensive volunteer experience with said agencies, and formal education in that area. Like jtmorris mentioned, to assume that crime is an inevitable choice given poverty is just a sad stereotype/unfair generalization. It has more to do with personality and upbringing than it does with your current living situation.
So I stick by my original post. I would not resort to crime, and would rely on the social agencies and welfare available to me. And, I'll add to that that if I were really starving that bad, I would spend 20 minutes begging for money at a street corner, seeing as a hot chocolate and a bagel costs less than $2.50 CAD (and one can make a LOT of money in a short amount of time begging, it truly is surprising; some individuals make more begging than they would at a part time job)--again, that would be a last resort for me, of course.

The morals that were being discussed recently or at all in the past days were about figuring out an effect. Its not wrong,least of all illegal,to hear about an effect created and make your own method.
Figuring out a trick from the trailer is the editors fault and if I catch the method there is no fault there. The gray line is if I use it or not.

I have yet to hear of anyone boasting of figuring out a trick other than the occasional kids who THINK they have and that is very seldom. So how can we say if its a problem if we dont know how many,if any, people do it?

visualartist, i normally don't pick fights on these threads that people post and i'm not looking to pick one with you either, but the thing that started the argument between you and silver fang was how quick you were to judge him for hustling 3 card monte many moons ago. So, just let this argument die please.
The thing is I didnt judge him. I just lightly suggested an alternative to conning which was busking. Since he had his cards with him,he couldve offered a show in exchange for tricks. And just put a bucket or his shoe in front of him. It was fun when I was a kid. But he went off thinking I was insulting him or something. Then we talked about random crap.
But my view on the topic stands. Ill con people if i have to feed my family or to eat one night. Luckily I dont have to anymore.
