I'm not sure if your friend naturally talks like that, but I felt that his patter seemed like he was uninterested in what he was doing and almost was condescending to the specators (but then again, they didnt seem like the brightest bunch ) He could've built up more suspense for the reveal then just thinking of the card. Why place the box on the card in the first place? His patter could justify this and make it a better effect.
A different force would work better as well, because the specator was taking the card, a hindu force is good for them just viewing it. A classic, dribble, or riffle force would work well. Daniel Garica has a good "touch a card" force on Symphony.
The reveal itself: Could have been better, but seemed weak, from what I saw, for two reasons.
