    mentalism-think on a card

Don't believe everything you see on TV. There are methods to the effect you're describing but none that I'm willing to discuss with someone who joined the forum this month and is basically asking for the secret. As Christoper said, learn your fundamentals.

    Galaxy Cuts: Your illusion

I agree with everyone else that this is much better than previous videos. It seems like you've put more actual moves in to your cuts rather than just waving your hands around with cards between your fingers. It's really good to see you improve so much and I look forward to your next upload.

Closure by Robert Smith and Peter Eggink

Here are a few things; It's good. It can't be done with big/heavy rings. It's difficult to do in a buttoned, stucked in shirt. It's not suitable for table hopping. A belt needs to be worn for best results. It's not quiet so you can't perform it without decent background noise. It get's good...

    Spider pen pro?

I've done it from a regular trouser pocket when I've been wearing a t-shirt so it is possible. It does work best when wearing a buttoned shirt or jacket though.

Matching dice for recent gaff dice

Unfortunately there is a noticeable difference between the polished and sanded dice. My gaff dice are red so thanks for the link Linear. edit - Amazon won't ship those dice to the UK.

    Rookie mistake.

This is a similar story to the one behind Gregory Wilsons On The Spot DVD. Well done thinking on your feet.

Matching dice for recent gaff dice

Bummer. Hopefully there won't be an obvious difference. I'll post a comparison when the gaff dice arrive.

Matching dice for recent gaff dice

A few people have raised the question about where to buy matching dice for their gaff dice. I was in London this weekend and picked these up from International Magic. They're exactly the same, unbranded, casino cut dice. They were £5 ($9) each. It may be worth contacting them if you're...

    Where to sell/give away magic?

Magic clubs sometimes provide a DVD rental service. Do a search to see if theres one near you. Otherwise it's difficult. I don't think many websites allow you to sell/trade DVD's because they can't guarantee they're not illegal copies.

I currently get this when trying to change my shipping address. Maybe the site has a few problems at the moment.

    Casino Gaff Dice

Of course matching dice would be nice. I assumed it would be easy to find them cheaply.

    Casino Gaff Dice

What you get has already been clarified but I just want to say that I bought these without much hesitation. For me these are mostly for decoration and just a talking piece, like an impossible bottle. A lamp, picture etc easily cost $50 and are much less interesting. You're buying a piece of...

    It Happened Tonight! Be Ready...

That's what a contract is for, to cover you against unforeseeable circumstances that are out of your control. That being said, I agree that staying and making that extra effort is important if you don't have another gig to get to. Tonight my last gig finished at 22.00 but I stayed to entertain...

    Jerry Nugget or Wynn

I would go Jerry's, though Dan and Dave's latest Ace Fulton cards are very much like Jerry's, Golden Nugget's and Aladdin's and they're much, much cheaper.

Any web designers here? Amateur or pro.

I suggest contacting students at a local university or college, they all need experience and projects for their port-folio if they're serious about getting a job in the industry. Alternatively use iWeb or Wordpress, both capable of producing decent, functional websites at low cost.

Calling all UK magicians age between 18-28

This. I have no idea where John might put my information or where it's being used. And "new possible TV show" doesn't infuse me with much confidence. I have idea's for possible TV shows but it'd be wrong of me to ask for details from individuals and hold that personal data without a real plan of...
