In my experience everything what William said about the Café is, unfortunatley, true.
The most disturbing thing I`ve ever encountered in any forum is the two-class society (and double-standard) there.
Darwin Ortiz has a new download. It looks awesome. Really like the presentation and effect.

I´ve seen someone doing this live. I haven`t seen anything. Didn`t even feel something sneaky. It just happens in a natural action as looks clean from all angles.
Don`t know where to find a good presentation of this. The quality of the Ron Bauer video sucks. Not Mr.Bauer himself, but the video...
You may also take a look at "The Secrets of Brother John Hamman" by Richard Kaufman. Great book. One of my favorites. And still available.

Because this is very personal and is different for every magician. It`s also the reason why explanations of sleights are not always given. Too much variations exist and which you use is a personal choice and often depends on your character/style etc. The same goes for presentation and...
Oh, ok. Sorry, I have misunderstood.
Maybe this is the reason I didn`t find a version of Triumph yet that is "better" than the original.
"Back in Time" isn`t even a "real" Triumph, but I like the presentation and plot.
I disagree.
Example:
In the original Triumph in "Stars of Magic" the spectator spreads the cards for the final display and the magic happens in their hands. I got that tip from Woody Aragon (he has a very good section about the Triumph effect on his Woodyland set, which I highly recommend). He...
Some resources for the pass:
Some Books:
- EATCT (Erdnase)...it`s public domain, so you can get it for free.
- Miracles with Cards (James Swain)...he gives some very good advices for the classic pass
- Card Classics of Ken Krenzel (Harry Lorayne)...Best description of the pass I´ve read. It`s a...
Do yourself a favour and buy the first two books of card college. Also available in German (Grosse Kartenschule). It`s one of the best resources for the serious card student. As much as I like the Classics (I´m a collector of magic books), this is, in my opinion, the most comprehensive resource...
Just use standard bicycles. They are cheap and you don`t have to worry when practicing "destructive" techniques.
Invest your money in good magic books instead of custom cards. Some books are even cheaper than one of these decks.
These fancy cards don`t make you a better artist. Good learning...
That pretty much sums it up. I haven`t seen Sperry or Murray, but I´ve seen Kevin James (I think he is one of the most creative magicians). If he doesn`t stand a chance to win, no magician will ever win this show.
No surprise. I don`t know the show, but all these shows are pretty much the same commercial ****.
They are produced to make money. And you can market a singer or musician much much better than any magician, juggler etc.
First and foremost, the reason why most of the winners in these shows...
