    Inspiration and the Creative Process

3/4s of a year? So Nine months? You're struggling because you don't have the experience. Don't worry about creating just yet,you have plenty of time. Just enjoy learning. And don't stop performing. The problem with magic these days is that the 'industry' is so much bigger than it ever was when...

Card force with 10-15 cards or less

No doubt. It's probably as old as the hills. For interest: the trick in RRTCM which uses this is 'A Card and A Number'. (pg.40 in the hardback edition I have). Though, it is used slightly differently here as it used to divine the thought of number as well has locate the card.

Card force with 10-15 cards or less

Pretty sure it's older than that. I think it's in RRTCM somewhere.

Card force with 10-15 cards or less

Brilliant use of that principle! I think this is the best solution, mainly because it's bold...and I love bold! Rev

Royal Oil - A Creativity Challenge

Hi Everyone...it's card trick time! About four years ago I read a great oil and water style trick in Karl Fulves 'Foolproof Card Tricks' that was so good it fooled even me the first few times I tried it! This got the mind cogs whirring and I set about trying to build a self-working oil and...

    Amazing 67

Hi everyone, happy Sunday! Here's an idea for multiple selection, sandwich type, routine I've been messing around with for a little while. It was initially inspired by a Jankey Sankey sandwich effect on his 'Anytime, Anywhere' DVD, but I have combined it with (what I believe to be) and old...

    My Card Ideas

Thanks man. I'm giving some serious thought to marketing some stuff but I don't just want to sell junk for the sake of selling, so I want to make sure i take it slow and do it right. I've already sent some ideas off to various magic magazines. Magicseen have taken an interest in a B'Wave style...

    My Card Ideas

Thanks dude, I appreciate the feedback. Re reversing the bottom card: Could you point me in the direction of some of these 'better methods'? I don't really like the half pass either but given the position the relevant cards need to be in it seemed like the only option. I did try using The...

    My Card Ideas

Hi All After spending a good fews year in magic (coming up on 20 years), I have spent the last few years tinkering with a few ideas of my own. Today, I finally forced myself to drag out the video camera and film couple of them with a view posting them here for some (hopefully helpful)...

    Base of Thumb brake?

Not quite sure what you're asking, but if you're taliking about holding a break using the flesh at the bottom of your thumb, then yes this does exist. I read about it either in Jean Hugard's 'Card Manipulations' or it's in RRTCM... Can't remember which and seeing as the book case is on the other...

Forcing a superhero name? (Dress code)

Get people to shout out names of superheros which you write down on seperate sheets of paper, fold and throw into a bowl/bag. Someone then picks one and the force is done. Al you do is write the same name on every slip of paper. Someone is bound to yell out Superman so everything will seem as...

    Dai Vernon

Twisting the Aces, but with jumbo cards. This is John Bannon's idea (at least that's where I read it) and not only does this make the trick more visible for a larger group, but it also makes it seem more impossible as there seems to be no way to manipulate something that big. Rev

    Name of this production?

I think Joshua Jay teaches this in his 'Complete Course' book. Someone who owns it will have to confirm though... I've only had a brief skim through it in a bookshop but seem to remember this trick being in it. Rev

    dynamo loop setup ?

Dynamo taught this to me personally, but it is also on his dvd 'The Cutting Edge' released by International Magic. He uses quite a different hook up to most people, and does NOT break the loop. Once the card leaps from the deck you are all set to go again, which is much more practical than just...
