    Open to Suggestions...

Thanks for sharing those Craig. The Henning one with the escape presentation and ending up clapping from the audience sounds outstanding.

HOLY $#!t I was featured on iTricks!

Congrats man. Nice performance although I cannot stand girls like that. The ones that are typically the cute ones that "know" they are cute and they act all important. Sometimes when I am doing magic at a gig I will purposely pick a girl who is the shy quiet modest one who would least likely to...

Making a DVD and Getting permission by the artist?

Spade, I don't want to sound negative but 3 out of the 5 of those have been in tons of magic books world wide as well as on beginner DVD's so I guess my question is why would you want to release something that has already been out there for ages that most magicians and laymen alike already know...

    Quick question about working restaurants.

I'm sort of like Justin on this one. Avoid putting things in your mouth like card to mouth, avoid touching their cups, silverware (fork bending) unless you are going to go get them another one to replace it. As mentioned, try to stay out of their personal bubble..don't get too close...ha ha. I...

    Are We Ever Satisfied?

Thanks Red! Yes, you are correct in saying that we do like to be fooled and sometimes when we get fooled we feel like we "need" to purchase the said effect because it actually fooled us and it made us feel great. Its tough to think like a layman once we are on this side, but when we get that...

    Routining and order of effects

David, Wow...that sounds like a great emotional ending. Should go over well. Acme, I'm with David on this one. Without seeing how you present the effects it is a tough call. I am a firm believer in NOT starting my first effect out with a card trick. I ALWAYS go the opposite way and choose...

    And all will be consumed

Chris, can't wait to see this. Congratulations! Mandy does a nice job filming and cutting the footage. I was down there with Shane Black last year watching a few things take place. Craig, I understand your concern as well, it seems that many younger magicians who are just dying to get...

    Are We Ever Satisfied?

I was bored last night and so I seriously went to about 8 different magic websites and looked through EVERY single page to see what else is out there that I don't have that could make my act even better. I spent 3 hours drooling over the "next best thing". Am I the only one like this or do...

    Which do you prefer?

Thank you, took care of it. We can't always catch every single post. I'm not that good.

Toby: actually "key card" is 2 words....ha ha. I get your point, just being funny.

    Magic Classes For Kids!!!

Reality One is correct. You want to put together a type of kit to give each child that includes basically everything he just listed. Yeah, to some of the kids they might seem trivial or beginner, however I guarantee that the students will not know how to "present" the effect with meaningful...

    Which do you prefer?

Not to jump on the band wagon but none of them will work for any type of advertising yourself. Very poorly done.

Send Wonder (public version) 2011 starts tomorrow!

Just looking at all of those smiling faces is amazing Jamie. You are doing a GREAT thing there my friend. Outstanding job.

    Tight Situation

Aaron is correct. I always tell people who are behind me to "come out front where they can see the magic better". If someone is over my shoulders or above me and there is nothing I can do then I go to self workers or mathematical card material.

    How to promote yourself

Thanks fellas. All of this advice gives me a lot of things to digest to take it to the next level. Much appreciated.

    Suit substitute

Black dress shoes, dress jeans, a graphic t shirt under neath of a suit coat. Looks casual but dressy at the same time.

    The Magic Castle

I believe you have to be 21 if I remember correctly unless you go on a Sunday brunch perhaps. Someone who is a member can verify.

    How to promote yourself

I understand what you are saying Benji and I definitely agree. If my website, image, etc. all show that I do corporate work, then surely parents will know that I am good enough to do a kids show but not vice versa. I can't have a Silly Billy type look to me on a website with kiddie photos...

    Thoughts?

Yeah...you are probably right about a layman not calling you out on the original license not being shown both sides. It was just the first thing I noticed but it could be just the way we magicians analyze everything. Good luck with it and keep performing it

    How to promote yourself

Benji's advice is top notch however my problem that I run into currently is that I do a VARIETY of things such as kids b-day parties, corporate picnics, balloon sculpting, etc. and I am a school teacher as well so I don't market to just one audience demographic. Should I? I don't know because I...
