I used to play chess when I was younger and it still fascinates me to some extent. Anyway I encountered this video where Grandmaster describes a move made by a hustler as a "Magic Trick". I just thought I would share this with everyone. Magic on the chessboard. For those not interested in watching the entire video 2:30 is where he comments on trickery.

Nice to see Ahley in street play. I know him from his commentary together with Yasser Seirawan and Jennifer Shahade at the great chess events. I'm a (bad) amateur player myself.Of course you can't cheat a relatively good player (even less a player of Ashley's strength) because he will memorize all piece positions in an instant.

A nice 'cheat' you can do is when you're playing black and someone plays 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5 and instantly you comment: "Do you also have something weird under your king?" Your opponent touches his king, he must move his king due to the touch-move rule to e2 and you mate him on e4
