    Coin questions

I don't know scott i was just kinda making stuff up haha. I was jsut curious if one should try and stray away from more difficult moves until they had more experience. But it's not a huge factor because I have practiced the harada hold the past two days and can't even do it at all haha For some...

    Coin questions

How do you get coins into a routine thats in progress without using your pockets? I know that sounded weird but I mean I got Cultural xchange DVDs and I am getting pretty good with trinity, But I am having trouble figuring out how to get the second coin into the routine. I have heard of coin...

    Cerca Trova Ideas

I think I good Cerca Trova idea would be to discuss the barrier between magic as an art, as most view it today (theory11 ARTISTS), or as a science, like people such as Darwin Ortiz have pondered in Designing Miracles or Fitzkee in The Trick Brain. This question has started much debate, and I...

    MTL control by Mystery Mark

Yea I mean Some of the color changes and such I could kind of see, but when i really watcched his stuff like Roddity and this, it just seems to good to be true. I mean if all this stuff were that good he would have sent it to a high scale magician to see if its original. Thats what Mike Hankins...

Saturday Night Contest - Resolutions For 2010

2009 was the year I really became a magician. I had only been practicing since the summer of 2008, so at the time I was really just a kid playing with a few card tricks. But I started to master some of the routines in Harry Lorayne's Close-up Card Magic, and then i began to branch out to other...

Sponge Ball Thread - Ideas and Concepts

I'm kinda really excited for that DVD now haha. I think with sponge balls it ends up being a lot about presentation. I love sponge balls, and you can see in many professional routines like Daryl's and many others, that the routine can be very simple but powerful. It is usually just a production...

    Groove Electric Switch

I have read the review for the move and seen the demo, and was very interested in picking this up. But then i thought about it for a while, and was really trying hard to find applications for this. I know Doc teaches several tricks with it, but I felt like those are all the applications, and...

    Fake Box Load

I'm working on an effect where cards transpose with cards placed in the card box. But I want it to be pretty clean and really let them see the cards going in the box. Are there any techniques for seemingly placing cards into the box, but really placing them into palm or lapping them?

Thursday Night Roundtable - The Side Steal

I think simple misdirectino can be used to cover the side steal. Pointing and looking up is all you need, and squaring the cards is enough motivation as long as you have worked on your steal enough so it is decently fast. Pointing with the palmed card in hand and then replacing as the hands come...

Thursday Night Roundtable - The Side Steal

One of the most direct methods for controlling or palming, the side steal is an extremely versatile move. But of course, because of its many applications, it must have inherent flaws. The sound and naturalness of the move are constantly being fine tuned to perfect a move that should be done...

Harbor Change in Ambitious Card Routine

I use it in my ACR although I don't use ti as an ending. I think it works quite well with the ambitous card theme and it pretty much flies right by. I have fried a magician or two with that move so far.

Thursday Night Roundtable - The Diagonal Palm Shift

Even there is looks quite good Michael. Do you have any tips or performance aspects to discuss with the regular DPS from your experience?

Thursday Night Roundtable - The Diagonal Palm Shift

Well I can tell you that you might just have to play around with how far you pull down the card, how far you angle it out and such until it fits your hands and your motions. Honestly there isn't much to tell because it is a little different with each persons hands. But, honestly, I think you are...
