Performing Passes VS Controls

  1. How often do you perform a pass? I mainly use controls to get the card in the position it needs to be. Occasionally, I'll do a pass, but only if I'm performing for a single spectator. And yes, I'm aware that this question's answer depends entirely on the situation. But when the situation allows several options, is your go-to an invisible pass or a different type of control (for example, a spread cull).

Just wanted to see your opinions
  2. Never.

    A different type of control.

  3. I use a one-handed pass in one card trick I do, when I actually do card tricks. Which is just slightly more frequent than "never".

A different control is almost always a more efficient option.
  4. Not 100% on-topic, but this old thread may clear up some questions on when to use the pass and when to use other controls.

  5. it should depend on the situation, did you just do a spread and the angels are right, you can do a spread pass that makes sense, the only pass I will use is a dribbling pass, and again, context matters.

I'll use a "control" before I'll even think of doing a pass
