Earpiece Device

Hello people! I just want to ask if there's an earpiece device that was designed for magic? Thanks!

I'm sure there is something out there that could work for magic, but there isn't a product currently on the market that is made specifically for magician's use. None that I know of at any rate. However anything that you would want to use that would be truly deceptive, or invisible, operating on a private frequency that won't interfere with other radio signals, and be approved by the FCC without the need for a private operators license (which can be costly) is going to be expensive. I'm talking several hundred to a few thousand dollars for the ear piece, transmitter, and battery pack. Honestly, your much better off getting 13 steps to mentalism and learning how to do a billet switch, maybe pay $60 bucks for a nice billet knife or something.

Billet Knife

Question Mr. William Draven...I've searched (albeit briefly) online for Billet Knives and have yet to be able to come across one that is LESS than the Porper one (199.00). Could you please reference me if possible?

Anything's a radio by Geoff Williams on his Miracles for Mortals DVD might be something worth looking at for inspiration, or it could be what you're looking for. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Truth be told I don't know how much billets go for now days, and I was only making a very general assumption that there is probably a lower end item on the market that would be around that price range. I would certainly check with Murphy's or your local dealer to do some research into it before buying.

I recall seeing some in magic magazine last year. I'll see if I can dig it up. I remember that it wasn't cheap.
That said, is there a certain effect that you want to accomplish? There may be much less expensive way (I'm thinking corinda).

Billet knives are mainly for prediction work. A few of the bill in lemon knives will do the job.

Truth be told look at Corinda Annemann The Artful Mentalism of bob Cassidy

And to learn billet switches Switch Craft is impossible to beat.

Wait are you trying to use the ear piece for something like they fill out a form before the show and then some behind the scenes stage hand guides you toward?

That's not really a Mentalism show and more like something you see those late con artist do on TV. Really if you want to do a mentalism show look into things like an imp pad or billet switches.
